Well, two and a half weeks into parenting two boys, and we are all hanging in there. Micah is still adjusting well and is taking more of an interest in Owen. It is still very subtle, and many may not catch the sweet singing and quiet "hi baby Owen", but we feel that he already has a love for his little brother. I am going to try to keep more updates to go along with the pictures. I feel like you all know very well what our sons look like, but may not know their personalities that we find so dear. I am convinced that Micah is a musician as he is never content without music playing in the background. He keeps us entertained with his dancing, singing and knowledge of every song's name and the instruments that are being played. For instance, he will ask us to play "Smoothie Song" by Nickel Creek and then let us know when it is time for the bass solo by saying "bass solo next." It's quite impressive. He claims he wants to play the violin, but I think by the looks of his air guitar, there might be another instrument in his future. Sweet Owen is so content when he is awake and enjoys being in the room where all the action is. Although we almost never hear a peep out of him during the day (and I promise he is trying to smile), the nights seem to be a little different. He is a little more fussy, wants to be held, and absolutely hates getting a bath. He is growing so big and has developed even more rolls on his legs. Last night we discovered that a little classical music toy calmed him, and we wondered if we might be raising another music lover. We are all excitedly awaiting Matt's graduation on the 11th and all the time we will be able to spend together with the boys until work begins in the fall. I hope this post finds you all doing well, and I hope to be more diligent about keeping you all updated.
