What a Month

Six weeks have passed since Owen came into the world, and we have had more than just a new baby to adjust to. Two weeks ago, Matt graduated Magna cum Laude from Optometry school, and is now officially Dr. Morrison. The day before the ceremony, we found out the great news that our house sold after only a week on the market. Then, we found out the not so good news, the buyer wanted us out by the end of the month. Well, after a minor breakdown, on my (Ginny's) part, we negotiated to let us stay here until the 16th of June. We made a mad rush to Nashville the day after graduation with both babies in tow to buy our future home. Finally, today we have an accepted contract on a new home and will close July 15th. You observant ones may notice that that is one month after the day we have to be out of our Memphis house. Yes, we are homeless with two little ones and a dog. Thankfully, we have generous friends who have offered the extra space in their new home to us (Thanks Browns!). I am taking this as the Lord's way of giving Matt and I some time with the boys and friends without a house to worry about. We have also had some sad family news. As many of you know, my grandma was in a car accident a couple of months ago, and after 8 weeks of fighting for her life, she went to be with the Lord last Saturday. We are very sad to not have her here anymore, but thankful that she is no longer hurting.
On a happier note, the boys are doing great. Owen is amazing. He is the sweetest most easy going baby. He smiles every time he catches a glimpse of his Dada and loves to watch Micah dance and play. Micah is cutting some teeth (as always) and has been a little sad. Thankfully, Matt is home to help keep him distracted. We are enjoying his baby pool more than he is these days as we try to rest and recover from the past month before boxing our house away. Micah has been learning to spell his name and loves to try to write with "Mama's pen." He is no longer content to take a bath alone. He says "take a bath baby Owen," and it breaks my heart. I think we can already see a friendship developing. Forgive us for taking so long to post more pictures. We will hopefully have more to add soon.
