Matt had the day off on Monday. It was gorgeous again, so we went to the zoo. We haven't been in a while as a whole family and were excited to see the boys' reactions. Micah is in a new phase of curiosity. He wants to know specific details about things, instead of simply "what is that." I think the zoo got boring for him a few months ago because he knew what all the animals were, but couldn't see anything else to learn. Now we were talking about what the animals were doing, where they live, what they eat, and whether or not they would bite him. Micah has never been bitten by anything. I don't know what this new interest is in the animals biting him, but he apparently has a pretty big fear of being bitten! We also got to feed the lorikeets some nectar. Micah thought that was really neat. Owen loved being outside, strolling around and looking for all the animals. His favorite was the duck taking a bath. He loved to call out every time it would dunk its head under.
