Neurology Report

Neurology stopped by. They said that Micah's condition is definitely what they would expect based on the MRI. He said that he wouldn't expect to see much improvement for a least a few days. They think we will almost for sure be here the whole week (steroids are a five day course). They think we will indeed start steroids; we are just waiting for the green lights from all parties taking care of Micah. The said we need to be prepared to be in it for the long haul. This could take extensive rehab to get Micah back to where he was-they mentioned months even years and he may possibly never fully recover. We know that Micah is one tenacious little boy and if we can get him healthy again-he will be bound and determined to run around with Owen and get his golf game back! Please pray friends that Micah will improve soon. We hate seeing our little boy like this.

Our prayers are with you and your entire family. You guys have an amazing faith, hold onto that as your road to recovery begins. Please keep us all posted on any needs or wants of the family! Your neighbors are here for you! I smiled as I read over how Micah read the breakfast menu-my son is the same age and can only read his name! Micah is an amazing little boy and he will pull thru this!!

Matt and Ginny,

Our hearts are with you guys and sweet Micah.

Just last Sunday, Dan and I were watching Micah in church, and we were smiling and commenting on how cool of a kid he is! Though we're not acquainted with you as much as we'd like, you are our family and we'll be lifting you up to our Heavenly Father.

Blessings,

Dan and Julie Meyers

I heard of your ordeal thru Katy Snow (my 2nd cousin). Three yrs. ago a friend of mine (John Keller) suffered a severe brain injury after a motorcycle accident. His prognosis was NOT good. His dr.s believed he would never walk or speak again. His family (great prayer warriors) never gave up hope. What they told everyone is "We cannot go by what we see, we must go by what we know! And we know God and God has promised to heal him." After much prayer & hard work, John WALKED out of the rehab center on his own. He now goes to schools & churches and gives the glory to God for his healing.

I have asked John's family to include Micah in their prayers.

Below are Part 1 & part 2 of John's "Miracle in Progress" videos

I hope, if you find time, these videos can be an encouragement to your family.

Thank you for your blog. I will follow and continue to pray for your sweet son.

I was thinking and praying the other day for ways to grant perseverance to my loving brother's family and this is what was on my daily scripture calendar "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." Such a sweet example of how Matt and Ginny are living now. Oh, how I miss you my sweet nephew. Heal fast so we can do all those "ridiculous" things you so love to do.
Love,
Big Micah
